Become a Shareholder in a Historic French Escape

Welcome to your very own retreat in the heart of Normandy. Imagine owning a fully managed share of a stunning 16th-century fortified manoir, nestled within 7 acres of peaceful countryside — a rare chance to invest in a slice of French history.

Located just five miles southwest of the historic town of Sainte-Mère-Église, the Manoir’s driveway sits off a quiet country lane. You're only 15 minutes from clean, sandy beaches and a short drive from shops, local and well-stocked supermarkets – and those very ‘peculiarly French’ day markets.

Whether you're exploring D-Day history, enjoying a glass of wine by the fire, or strolling through nearby villages, this region offers something in every season.

As a shareholder, you’ll enjoy exclusive use of the property for at least one week each year, with a rotating calendar designed to ensure a fair spread of seasonal stays. The Manor is fully managed by French Heritage, so there’s nothing to worry about — everything from maintenance to housekeeping is taken care of.

Four weeks per year are allocated to allow for upkeep, servicing etc. These weeks are at fixed points in the calendar being: Easter, mid school term, the first week in August and Christmas.

The reason for this is to provides flexibility, so these ‘service dates’ can be ‘swapped’ on an annual basis with various shareholders to suit owner’s needs. These swaps are for one year only and then the owners weeks would revert to the calendar.

Inside, the Manor has been lovingly restored and thoughtfully furnished. It features four spacious bedrooms, four bathrooms, a character-filled sitting room, a spiral stone staircase, an equipped study, large farmhouse kitchen with Waterford range cooker, utility room, and plenty of electrical sockets throughout.

This is more than a holiday home — it’s a lifestyle investment. A timeless place to unwind, explore, and build unforgettable memories with loved ones.

Only a limited number of shares are available. Do not miss your chance to own this idyllic piece of France.

How to become a shareholder – the steps

Firstly we recommend where possible to ‘come and see for yourself’ the Manoir and its environment.

A ferry ride from either Portsmouth or Poole will have you here the same day – in summer in under three hours.

Our Managing Director will be happy to show you around the Manor and its grounds and to answer any questions you may have.

This is how ‘buying in’ works in practice:

    •    If you feel this may be for you contact us and a mutually convenient time for you to visit will be agreed and we will ‘reserve until viewed’ the number of weeks that you are interested in acquiring. This secures an allocation until you have had time to view and consider.
    •    When you have viewed the Manoir we will hold those weeks for 14 days for you to decide if this is really for you – there is no pressure or forms to sign on your visit.
    •    Once you have confirmed your interest a share sale agreement will be signed between you and the shareholder concerned.
    •    Once a sale is agreed the completed share transfer form will be lodged with us along with their share certificate for cancellation.
    •    At that point the agreed sale price will be requested to be paid by bank transfer into our National Westminster business account No 2.
    •    When confirmation of the transfer is received, we will forward the transfer form to HMRC for stamping, the appropriate duty will be paid, your details entered on the company register of shareholders and a share certificate will be issued in your name.

Alternatively you can buy ‘blind’ – which is the above procedure less the visit.

Naturally we would prefer that you visit in person but occasionally in the past owners had business considerations or their location made a visit impractical – we have shareholders in the USA and others that are now not UK based.

We would add that none of those who had bought ‘blind’ are amongst those selling their shares.
